We have 2 Pure Bred Australian Shepherd pups black, and black and tan, born Monday May 9th, out of our Black Female 'Midnight Breeze' and a Blue Merle Stud, 'Star Stuff Git'em Gus'.

Russ has already started taking these pups out to our sheep, and says they are tenacious! Soon to start their beginner training, they will be sold as started dogs in a few months.
Please note, the longer the dogs are here getting training put on them the higher the sale price.

They have had their Vet check and all shots plus deworming.

Our dogs are bred for intelligence and workability, NOT for color.

Talk about contentment! Thank you God for Gem!

The story of the guardians. We knew we had a litter of pups coming - a first litter for our young Maremma female BeBe. The cold weather came suddenly, and they were still across the street out with the flock. Russ had decided that night - "it's time to get that guardian home with some sheep so she can whelp near the barn". Well didn't he go out to bring her in, only to find that she had already whelped, but had walked away from her puppies!

We brought her and the babies, and the sheep, back home, put her in the barn with her babies, and waited. No luck - she had no intention of staying with them. Only when we were there with her, patting her and talking, would she stay and let them nurse.
Russ mixed up some puppy formula we have here, and gave the pups a good drink, made sure all were snug in the warm straw, we said a prayer for the puppies, closed the door to the barn and went to the house.
It was in God's hands.
The next morning, we went out to the barn, the pups were all still there and alive, but BeBe was gone. She must have got out through the back opening for the waterer. Our senior guardian Gem, however, was waiting to go in the barn to see the pups.
Well didn't that old girl lay down with the puppies and start checking them out, licking them and settling right in.
We brought BeBe back in a couple of times so the pups could nurse, Russ gave maybe one more feeding of milk replacer, but Gem was right there as well, waiting for her and us to leave.
Now didn't Gem come into milk and start nursing those pups!
Our intervention was done - the puppies had a new momma who was and is doing an amazing job of taking care of them.
God is Good!
